The Wasted West
Bo Tam never knew his parents and grew up on the streets, scraping together enough food to survive by working for various thieving crews. Despite his youth and small stature, Bo has always been fast and nimble, and dedicated himself to the study of unarmed fighting and hand to hand weapons. His ability to skulk around, climb or wiggle himself into secure places, and take care of himself long enough to open the door for his crewmates , earned him a place in underground society. However, Bo also brought a mysterious level of good fortune to his teams. Jobs just seemed to go better when Bo was on the team, and his reputation as a “good luck charm” was almost as valuable as his physical abilities. In the underground “Tam’s Own Luck” is a common expression for good fortune and unexpectedly good results. Over time, this luck has lead Bo to a certain level of negligent overconfidence. Trusting in his good fortune to protect him, Bo drinks freely, sleeps in, and doesn’t really feel a need to pay attention to what is going on in the world around him. It’ll all work out in the end.
